How to Play Old skool games on windows 7?

Hello,
I woud like to play Age of Empires 2 Again only problem i have is that installing went fine but playing the game i see huge blocks in my schreen and alot of errors...
is ther anyway i still coud play this game on windows 7? whit Aliens vs predator 1 i have no problems at all...

Try it in compatibility mode, if that doesnt work you can try to play in the xp virtual machine (ultimate only?)

Virtual machine is available also in Professional iirc.

if that doesnt work, get a crappy computer. install whatever os the game works on. then there are a few possibilities to make usage of those two computers convinient.
You can get a expensive KTM switch (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KVM_switch), or you could get another screen and use http://synergy2.sourceforge.net/ to use same keyboard and mouse on both computers and combine audio (http://cavemonkey50.com/2006/02/two-com ... -speakers/)

than i just prefer buying an windows 98 computer for 100 euro's lol

Thout maybe someone knows if theirs an easy fast way to do it hehe xD
